Eleanor M. Mackay, 92, of Holiday City South, Berkeley, died Tuesday April 24, 2018, peacefully at home. Born in Garfield, NJ, she lived in Oakland, NJ for 26 years before moving to Toms River in 1985.
She worked at Indian Hills High School as a secretary before retiring to Toms River where she was an active member of St. Maximillian-Kolbe Catholic Church Choir and Holiday City Craft Club.
She was predeceased by her son, Christopher John and husband Joseph. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Glenn and Pam Mackay of Toms River, Robert and Beverly MacKay of Wyckoff and Lynn Brautigam of Hawthorne. Her grandchildren and spouses Lindsey and John Zara, Michael and Denise Mackay, Amy Brautigam and Emily Brautigam, Jennifer and Mark Aug, Catherine and Anthony Abad, Keri MacKay and 6 great grandchildren.
Private services will be Thursday, April 26, 2018 followed by funeral services at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Arrangements under the direction of the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River, NJ.
