

Theodore G. Stinner Jr., 87, of Beachwood, NJ, died Saturday, August 25th, 2018, at home. He was born in Duquesne, PA, to Theodore and Grace Stinner, and was the second oldest of four children. Ted proudly served in the Army as a Paratrooper, stationed out of Germany during the Korean War. After being discharged from the Army, he attended Lock Haven State Teachers College, where he obtained degrees in both Elementary and Secondary teaching. After graduating, he and his wife Dolores moved to New Jersey, where he spent 30 years teaching, both at Admiral Farragut Academy and Lakewood High School.
While teaching was Ted’s profession, coaching was his passion. Ted served very successfully as Lakewood High School’s wrestling coach for almost 25 years. When he was not coaching, he loved gardening, golfing, and traveling. He was a huge Pittsburg Stealers fan.
Ted is survived by his wife Dolores Stinner; his son Kirk and wife Rebecca; his four daughters: Stormy and husband David Arre, Christine, Laurie, and Kelly; as well as eight grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
As per Ted’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home of Toms River, NJ, is in charge of arrangements.
