Arline Hopkins April 1, 1923 – March 10, 2017 Arline Hopkins (née Harris) passed away on March 10 at Glynnwood Retirement Residence in her 94th year. She is survived by her two daughters, Heather (Wilbert Lai) and Joan Hopkins (Dexter Halsall), granddaughter Catherine Lai, brother Charles Harris, and sister-in-law Elizabeth Roberts. She will be interred alongside her late husband, Fred Hopkins, at Riverside Cemetery in Lindsay, Ontario. A long-time Blue Jays fan looking forward to the 2017 season, Arline was happy, warm, fun loving, and a pleasure to be around. She will be missed by many family and friends. Visitation will take place on Friday, March 17, 6–9 p.m., at Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto. A memorial service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, March 18 at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.

Aunt Arline was one of the sweetest ladies. She always wanted to do whatever would make others happy.
When Uncle Fred looked at Aunt Arline, he did so with adoring eyes; it was obvious how much he loved her. When she looked back, there would be a twinkle in her eyes, and an "Oh, Fred!" on her lips.
It was wonderful to see.
