Rose was born on April 3, 1935 in Cheboygan to Charles and Mary Fisher. She married George M. Portice on May 11, 1959 in Cheboygan County.
Rose loved playing cards, especially all-night, marathon games, puzzles, arts and crafts, and spending time with family, grandkids, and grand dogs.
Rose is survived by her brother, Ron Fisher of Cheboygan; sister, Margaret (Leon) Campeau of Cheboygan; son, Paul Portice of South Lyon; daughter, Linda (Dale) Pavwoski of Buckley; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Rose is preceded in death by her husband, George; sister, Mary Carpentier; sister, Alma Fenlon; brother, Charles Fisher; and sister, Shirley Hocquard.
Visitation will take place on Monday Nov. 5 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the Covell Funeral Home, Traverse City. A luncheon will follow immediately after the service. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice of Traverse City.
