Annabelle (Ann) Primm passed away, in the evening, on July 27, 2021, in Tucson, Arizona. Her life started in January 1925 in Yuma, Arizona. Ann was the third of nine children born to Mary and Jay Rohrbough. At that time, her parents operated the only flour mill in Yuma. When Ann was two years old, the family moved to Welton, Arizona, to a ranch where they resided for 55 years.
Ann spent her high school years in Colorado near Aspen and Leadville from 1937 until 1941, returning to Arizona, where she graduated from Yuma Union High School. She attended college at the University of Arizona and transferred to Purdue University in Elkhart and West Lafayette, Indiana.
Ann was an artist and a seamstress. She volunteered for fifteen years with Girl Scouts and twenty years with Boy Scouts in a life dedicated to family and volunteer work. Ann was active in the Pima County Extension Homemakers’ for fifty-one years and later joined the U.F. Doll Club. She was also an active participant in an American Ex-POW Group.
Ann was preceded in death by her first husband, Max Steffe, to whom she was married five years. Her second husband, Charles Primm, passed after a 48-year marriage in 2001. Her son, Lyle Steffe, and grandson, Clinton Wofford, also preceded her passing. In addition, Ann was preceded in death by sisters Jean Orendorff, Yuma, Arizona; Mabel Hupp, West Virginia; Etta Chandler, Oregon; brother Jay W. Rohrbough, Marana, Arizona; and three baby brothers.
Ann is the beloved mother of five children. The surviving children include Cheryl Bahn (Theodore), Colorado Springs; Gail Vinson (Tom) and William Primm of Tampa; and Keith Primm, Tucson. In addition, Ann was blessed with sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Ann is survived by her sister, Susan Harkness, Missouri, and devoted friend, William Watts, Tucson.
