Carolyn Jean Kurtz, 82, of Green Valley, AZ, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Monday, March 27, 2017, at La Hacienda Assisted Living in Green Valley. She was born December 6, 1934 in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Alexander Bain and Harriet Arlene (Hess) Beardslee. Carolyn is survived by her friend-husband, Robert Kurtz; children, Deborah (Carl) Ball, Kevin (Jolan) Kurtz, Lori (Steven) Schulz and Kathryn (Frederick) Thorsby; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; brother, Kelly (Joyce) Beardslee; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a Remembrance and Committal Service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017, in Johnson Hall of the United Methodist Church of Green Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Arthritis Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
