Don was born to Walter and Mae Kempin (Ludwig) in Milwaukee Wisconsin. He was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine Louise Kempin, Air Force Veteran. He is survived by four children, David (Sheryl), Ann, Steven (Endora) and William; five grandchildren, Eric, Steven Jr, Andrew, Matthew and Melissa, three great grandchildren, Peyton, Lyra and Kayden.
Don was a Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars where he served honorably in the United States Air Force achieving the rank of Master Sergeant during his 23 years of service. He moved to Tucson with his wife and family when assigned to Davis Monthan Air Forces Base in 1961. Once retired from the Air Force he went on to serve the US Customs Service as an aircraft mechanic. Don volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America for several years and he made charitable donations supporting various Air Force and Veteran causes. We honor him for his service to our country and hold him in our hearts forever.
