Roy E Messer

Roy was born on the 27th of July 1926 in Flat Lick, KY, and passed away on the 10th of July 2018 in Tucson, AZ. He grew up in Cincinati, OH, and moved to Tucson in the late 1940's. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Molly Carnes and William Messer. He is survived by former wife Patricia Allen Messer, sons: William, David (Brandy); grandson Justin; step-sons. Thomas Bossert (Jade), and Darrell Bossert (DeAnna). Roy served in the Pacific Theater with the US Army during the Second World War. He then made a career in television and appliance repair. Roy will be lovingly remembered by many. He will be especially remembered by the staff and residents at Elmcroft Senior Living Center. This was his residence since 2013, where he was known as the 'paper boy', and for helping where ever needed. Roy enjoyed country music, and talking with friends over coffee. His favorite expression was, “Whatever works!”
