I have a picture of him from one of the last times we visited him.  It's next to my bed and I see both him and my dad every morning.  I miss them both.  They were both good men we were all lucky to know them.

I can’t believe it’s been a week since he’s entered Gods kingdom. The anxiety I felt prior to his passing is gone and I know all is well now. 
As a young child I was plagued with horrible ear infections. I remember my dad singing this song trying to sooth me. Years later I would sing this same song to my children and then hearing my daughter sing to her children. 
I feel as though my dad has made  this a family anthem that we pass down to our next generation.
I love having this memory, it definitely brings a smile to my face. My dad has touched so many leaving his mark of beautiful memories imprinted on our hearts forever ❤️

Heaven gained another Angel. My grandpa, Wayne A. Braastad was the strongest man I’ve ever known. He was a WWII vet and served 25 years in the Navy. Most of his time was spent on submarines. He retired as a Lieutenant and was so proud of his service and our country. He loved his family very very much and was always the happiest guy in the room. I take comfort he’s back with my grandma now. I’m so sad he’s gone but have so many memories to cherish. I’ll always love you gramps. ❤️💔

Trisha is exactly right. He had a wonderful personality.  He was always the one with a great story and something to make you laugh.  I remember going out to family dinners with everyone. He would start off by making the server laugh and including them in the group. It was always fun and funny when he was around. He has now gone to God and is reunited with all the ones he loved. We are so lucky to have known him.  He will be missed.

My Dad was such a wonderful man! Our hearts are truly broken. 2 weeks ago he told me I Love you I gotta go home, I feel so blessed, and fortunate to receive such a gift, a week ago he said I’m not playing parcheesi so in true form he still made us laugh and smile. We as a family weren't the only ones that loved him and feel the loss, his wonderful bonus family his caregivers at the VA home will miss him also. Celebrate my dad he’s reunited with his family,  friends and the Lord.
