Don Velvin Marbut

There was a time in my life ,when I was having a bad time with PTSD . I had heard that if you tell people what was giving you a bad time that would help , much to my surprise I was ignored poo pooed and even called a liar. I was pretty dejected but when I mentioned what I was going thru to Don he listened even brought Eutha into the conversation you have no idea of how good that made me feel. I believe Don and Eutha really helped me to get my head straight again. And for that I will for ever be thankful.

Papa Don was a very special person to our family. Fond memories of our times in Washington with him and Nanny Eutha. They took David on his only deep sea fishing trip. I have to laugh at the time I had to wear his sweat pants because all I had at the West Port beach was shorts and it was super cold that day. It made for great photos. And our long drives to Mt. Saint Helen and Mt. Rainer, where the day wasn't complete without picnics by the side of the road. Also our trip to Montana to see their friends was a great time. Mined for sapphires, and will think of Nanny and him each time I wear them. Wonderful times spent at lake and numerous family get togethers. We will surely miss him and Nanny. Sympathies and prayers. Love you always. Grandchildren David, Kristy Strahan, Great-Grandchildren- Morgan, Lance, Tyler Strahan and Great-Great-Granddaughter Caroline Murdock
