As you know, Veda lived a very simple life. She loved her family and took much interest in knowing all she could about her family and family tree. She enjoyed putting together puzzles, and could easily put together a two thousand piece puzzle in a matter of days. She was an avid reader of fiction and non fiction.

She enjoyed taking the city bus to see the sights of Olympia, Lacey, Tumwater, and beyond. She liked walking downtown Olympia, window shopping and walking on the pier. Her love for animals was always evident, as she would bring home many a stray cat, and take care of them. Veda collected Cat figurines for as long as we can remember.

She enjoyed Izzy's Pizza, Thift Stores,

Even though Veda had a limited income she was able to provide for some of her final expenses. However, because of the unexpected timing of her passing she was not able to save enough to cover all of her final expenses. The family is requesting that rather than providing flowers or other such items to honor Veda, that cash donations be made in honor of Veda to help cover the remaining expenses for her service.
