Joyce T. Chism, age 56, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died October 10, 2018 in Tuscaloosa. Her Celebration of Life service will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018, at Capstone Church with Jeremy Burrage officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Trulove; father, Grover Truelove; and brother, Lee Truelove.
Survivors include her husband, Tim Chism; daughters, Ryn Tomlinson and Emily Curry; sister, Beverly Hale; granddaughter, Kyleigh Truelove-Williams (due November 20, 2018).
Joy loved helping others in any way that she could. She loved her husband and daughters, all those in her family, and most importantly, she absolutely adored her Savior and wanted nothing more than to make him proud. While we grieve her absence, we celebrate her life and thank Jesus that because of what he has done for us, we can rest in the promise that her life is everlasting as we joyfully anticipate the day we are reunited. "so, now wrap your heart tightly around the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps His promises." Hebrews 10:23
