Roland Howell Styers, age 72, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away November 12, 2018 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2018, at Heritage Chapel with Rev. Charles Herron officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be 12:30-1:00 p.m. Friday at Heritage Chapel.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally "Jimmie" Styers; and father, Roland Styers.
Survivors include his daughter, Tina M. Byars; sisters, Glenda Wickstrom and Sherry Holbrook; and grandchildren, Nicholas K. Abney,
Brittany Abney and Ashlee Abney.
Mr. Styers served in the United States Air Force, was a loving father and brother, loved his animals, gave generously to several charities and was a loyal friend. He will forever be loved and missed.
Pallbearers will be David Jones, Walt Wickstrom, Jamie and Andrew Holbrook, Mason Worrell and Jerry Jones.
Honorary pallbearer is Nelson Byars.
