Beatrice Alice Kilborn
May 5, 1939 – April 17, 2018
Beatrice “Bea” Alice Kilborn
Reverend Beatrice (Bea) Alice Kilborn went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Bea was born May 5, 1939, to Alfred Torres Gonzales and Beatrice Alanis Gonzales in Corpus Christi, Texas. Bea married the love of her life, Vaughn Kilborn, on December 29, 1965 and the two were inseparable for all of their days, until the time she stepped into glory. They enjoyed every part of life together; when you found one, the other was always sure to be near. Vaughn and Bea had two sons, Dwight and Eric, and Bea enjoyed the privilege of raising them in the instruction and admonition of the Lord. Bea worked diligently as a homemaker during her early years as a wife and mother, and she also always found time to do the work of the ministry for her Lord Jesus. She was consistently about the Father’s work winning souls, discipling and teaching the Word of God to everyone she could. As her boys grew and left home, Bea continued her own higher education as well. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Idaho, and received her Masters of Divinity from St. Paul School of Theology. After years of homemaking, educational accomplishments and volunteer ministry, Bea took on a new role of pastoring and fulfilled that calling in several rural churches in Kansas and Oklahoma until the Lord moved the couple back to Idaho once again. Bea’s life is a true testament of what God can accomplish in someone who is willing to follow Him and trust His plan. Many lives were impacted, and her family has received so many precious messages from people she influenced for Christ during her many years of Kingdom business. Through it all, she remained a devoted and encouraging wife to Vaughn, and a prayer warrior and cheerleader for her boys. We know she is still cheering us all on (Mark 10:23-31). Bea is survived by her husband Vaughn Kilborn, son Dwight and wife Jennifer, grandchildren Kendrick and Seth Kilborn of Taiwan, son Eric and wife Kirsten, grandchildren Cole and wife Emilie, Ethan and Hannah Kilborn of Colorado, brother Fred and wife, Louise Gonzales of Texas, sister Belinda Irons of California, niece Rosanne and many other family and friends spread throughout the world. Bea’s Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Reynolds Funeral Chapel located at 2466 Addison Avenue East in Twin Falls, Idaho, with a viewing at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho. Services are under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Chapel, Twin Falls. Cousin Bea was instrumental in bringing mom to Christ and following then setting our small Texas community on fire for Christ. Her legacy in faith will ripple generations. Celebrating her life, sure that she was received with open arms in heaven.
My memories of Bea is how she loved sitting in my mom’s kitchen eating mom’s Mexican dishes. She loved home cooking and talking about our family.
Celebrating her life and wonderful memories.
