Candelaria Sanchez Medrano
Candelaria Sanchez Medrano, 54, of Twin Falls passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012 in Tulare, California after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Candelaria was born on February 2, 1958 in Durango, Mexico the daughter of Carols and Maria Medrano Sanchez. She grew up and was educated in Mexico and in 1986 she became a citizen of the United States and moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. While in Twin Falls she worked hard in the fields as well as in landscaping. Candelaria also worked for Bois Ranch in Jackpot for many years.
Candelaria enjoyed knitting, crocheting; and was an amazing cook. She loved her family and she spent many weekends entertaining her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Candelaria is survived by her 6 children, Jose Manuel (Reina) Astorga; Gilberto (Gricelea) Astorga; Elidio (Jamie) Sanchez; Ruben Astorga; Maria Sanchez and Graciela Sanchez; as well as many grandchildren. She is also survived by many siblings including her sister who raised her when her mother passed at a very young age, Clementina Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one grandson, Ruben Astorga, Jr.
A celebration of Candelaria’s life will be held as a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls. A viewing for family and friends will take place on Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, 2466 Addison Ave. East, Twin Falls.
Services are under the direction of Trent Stimpson and staff at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, Twin Falls.
