Kimberly, Idaho Charles Michael "Mike" Hendley Charles Michael "Mike" Hendley also known to many as "Fred", 73, passed from this life March 22, 2018 after a decline in his health. He was surrounded by his loving wife Marcia and family during the last weeks of life. Mike was born October 1, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri to Roberta "Peggy" and Charles R. "Chuck" Hendley. He grew up being the middle child, with older brother Randy and younger brother Stephen, moving from Missouri to California to his longtime home in Arizona. Mike went to Washington High School in Phoenix, Arizona and then on to Arizona State University. Mike was just 18 when he met his wife of 53 years, Marcia (Wendelken) and soon they married and started their family. They had 3 children, Karen (Adams), Kevin, and Kimberly (Robertson). They lived their lives with God in the center of everything they did. Mike served as a Deacon and Elder at Lincoln Heights Christian Church and Northwest Christian Church which later became Crosspoint Christian Church; both of where many hours were spent and countless friends were made. After moving to Idaho upon retirement, they joined Kimberly Christian Church. Mike enjoyed sports, was able to attend many Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondback games. Growing up he played football and baseball. Later coaching or cheering his own kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. As an adult he played on many softball teams in Arizona until his jaw was broken when he was pitching. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and ATVing. Mike and Marcia not only took their 3 kids on grueling vacations every years but were fortunate enough to enjoy traveling extensively going on cruises to Alaska and the Caribbean, taking in a ballgame at Wrigley Field in Chicago, visiting Hong Kong, Denmark, and their favorite, Israel. Mike is survived by his wife, Marcia Hendley; three children and their spouses, Karen Adams (Virgil), Kevin Hendley (Becky), and Kimberly Robertson (Lee). Grandchildren, Kristina, Michael (Megan) and Marissa McClurg, Bailey Lamer (Nathan), Luke and Jacob Hendley; Great-Grandchildren, Mason, Zachary, Adison, Alice, Hunter, Maddox and Lucille.
