April 5, 1922 – July 31, 2019
My wonderful mom, Donna Mary Huddleston Lorain, 97 of Twin Falls, ID passed away on July 31, 2019. She was born in Amsterdam, Idaho to Silas and Velma Huddleston (Stillwater, Oklahoma) on April 5, 1922 and continued living there until her marriage to John Lorain Jr. from Filer, ID. They had one son, Garwin E. Lorain who lives in Boise, ID with his wife Mary Celeste (Kelley) Lorain. They also had a daughter, Ronna Ree, who died shortly after birth. After they were married, they moved to Oakland, California during the war while my dad was a welder in the shipyards and later went to sea on a destroyer. Donna operated an elevator in Oakland. They then moved to Filer, ID where they spent many years snow skiing, fishing, water skiing, snowmobiling, card playing and dancing. They most of all enjoyed travels in their motorhome. They traveled across the United Sates three times. After raising her son, she became a checker and later a baker at Swenson Market in Twin Falls. She was best known for dancing on the table and water skiing and never getting wet. Actually there were many other things, but space is not even close to available for them all. We are going to miss her so much. The family all gathered after her passing for a toast to her wonderful and amazing life. She kept us all entertained right to the end with her sense of humor. She was put to rest on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the Hagerman Cemetery, Hagerman, ID beside her husband, John Lorain and her twin brother, Ronald Huddleston. Services were under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Chapel, Twin Falls, ID.
