Twin Falls JERE DEAN MASON

Jere Dean Mason, 75, of Twin Falls passed away Saturday, February 24,2018 in Twin Falls.

Jere was born June 6, 1942 in San Diego, California the son of Earl Kenneth Mason and Helen Maxine Vaught Mason. The family returned to Idaho where Jere attended school. Jere graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1960.

Jere married his high school sweetheart, LeIla Elaine Wise in June 1961. Together they raised two children, Jon and Corinna. Jere owned and operated Glacier Refrigeration in Twin Falls in 1972. After he retired he began his second career as a HVAC instructor for the College of Southern Idaho from 1989 to 2003.

Jere and LeIla were members of the First Christian Church in Twin Falls.

Jere is survived by his wife of 56 years, LeIla Mason; his two children, Jon Arthur Mason and Corinna Elaine Mason Gibbs (Brian); as well as his grandchildren, Michael Jon Gibbs, Ashley Marie Gibbs, and Kevin Shawn Gibbs; and his brother, James Edward Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Helen; his brother, John Kenneth Mason.

A celebration of Jere’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, 2466 Addison Ave. East, Twin Falls with Pastor Marvin Hatfield of First Christian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. A viewing for family and friends will take place on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, Twin Falls.
