Robert “Bob” Neal Dalton

Robert “Bob” N. Dalton, 71, of Twin Falls passed away early Thursday morning, April 4, 2013 at Bridgeview Estates in Twin Falls.

Bob was born on June 3, 1941 in Hazelton, Idaho the son of Neal R. Dalton and Mary A. Hepworth. He grew up and attended schools all around the valley; graduating from Kimberly High School in 1961. Bob entered into the U.S. Air Force where he served his country proudly for over 20 years until he was Honorably Discharged in 1987. He retired from the Air Force as a Tech Sergeant and returned to Twin Falls where he worked at Lamb Weston for a few years.

Bob enjoyed black powder hunting and especially loved electronics. His greatest joy was being a father and grandfather. Bob is survived by his two daughters, Rhonda Hanson of Twin Falls and Tammy Dalton Coates also of Twin Falls; one sister, Rose (Ray) Chambeau of Twin Falls. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Dalton Justice Coates, Nickolas William Coates and Christian Coates. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal and Aileen Dalton and his biological mother, Mary Hepworth; as well as his niece and nephew.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held as a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Rock Creek Veterans Cemetery, south of Hansen. Military honors by the Magic Valley Honor Guard and Idaho National Guard. At Bob’s request there will be no public viewing. Services are under the direction of Trent Stimpson and staff at Reynolds Funeral Chapel, Twin Falls.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions to the Magic Valley Honor Guard. Contributions may be given to funeral chapel staff or mailed to Reynolds Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 1142, Twin Falls, Idaho 83303.

So very sorry to hear of the loss of a very good friend of mine, and high school buddy. I extend to his family my sincere sympathy. Bob and I both graduated from Kimberly High School and we spent a great deal of time together during school years and after graduation. I remember spending many hours having fun with Bob and his sister Rosalee. Bob you will be missed.
