Amelia Colleen Porter

Funeral services for Amelia Colleen (Aderholt) Porter, 88, will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2 pm in the chapel of Lloyd James Funeral home with family visitation beginning at 1 pm. Officiants will be Dr. Mark Edge, Gary Albritton and Dr. Cynthia Weber.

Colleen was born in Dallas to Lawson Clarence and Jenny Lorena (Rhodes) Aderholt on February 3, 1930. She passed away on January 1, 2019. She was a secretary with the Department of Public Safety for 25 years. Collen was a member of American Business Women’s Association and served as President of this organization. She was also a member of Shiloh Road Church of Christ for 32 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Loriece Gibson; her husband, Watson Porter and daughter-in-law Gina Porter.

She is survived by her daughter, Jenny Jolley Laningham and husband Bill Jolley II and her son Lawson Paul Porter; grandchildren Stuart Malaske and wife Jill, Bill Jolley III and wife Chris, Kelly Jolley and wife Sheree, Michael Paul Porter, Hollie Porter, Robert Porter, Jennifer Lemley and great-grandchildren Jacob Stout, Elizabeth Jolley and Joe Jolley; nephews Mike Tutt, Todd Tutt, Bill Green and Albert Porter and nieces Amelia Kay Bellar, Kathy Worrel, Dr. Cynthia Weber, Janis Wren and Liz Campbell.

Pallbearers will be Stuart Malaske, Bill Jolley, Kelly Jolley, Michael Porter, Joe Jolley, Robert Porter and Hollie Porter. Honorary pallbearers include Mike Tutt, Todd Tutt, Roger Bellar, Lynn Tindal and Lee Tindal.
