Dayne Austin Haney, affectionately called Robert by those who had the privilege of watching him grow up, came into this world as a legend on April 18, 1995 in Humble, Texas. He was blessed with his good looks by his parents, Wendy and Robert, and was the baby of his five siblings, Doye, Victoria, Tephany, Kayleigh, and Shyanna, who was his partner in crime. He passed on his good looks to his beautiful children, Aubree and Zayne, and a daughter that has yet to make her appearance, Autumn. He deeply loved his step-daughter, Sky, as if she were his own. His devotion as a father, a husband to Kayla throughout their marriage, and his fiance, Kaylee, was beyond measure.
He adored his grandmother, Lilly, and grandfather, Mark. He frequently visited Lilly as a child while she resided in Port Isabel, Texas. It was there, under her loving, spirited guidance, that he developed his deep fondness for the ocean.
Dayne passionately loved his family, Whataburger, terrible jokes, the Pittsburg Steelers, Pepsi, tattoos, Budweiser, home-cooked meals, poking fun at the people he cared about, helping his uncle on his farm, traveling, making people laugh, serving in the US Army 101st Airborne Division in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and most of all, being an amazing father.
He bitterly despised onions, being serious, jalapenos, losing an argument, and being away from the people he loved.
He resided in several cities over his lifetime, including Humble, Austin, Reno, and Fort Campbell. In his heart, however, Tyler, Texas was his home.
Dayne overcame adversity in life that most couldn't even imagine, always keeping the humor he was so well known for, and continuously striving to achieve greatness. At the tender age of twenty he enlisted in the US Army in order to serve our great country, and provide a better life for his family. During his service he was awarded with four medals for his outstanding achievements. As a US soldier, he grew to love going to the gym, often taking selfies to admire the physique he worked so hard for, and sending videos to his friends and family of him pummeling a punching bag. He recently took third place at a competition at his gym, which he found great humor in because he was only competing against four other people.
August 11, 2018, the legend that is Dayne Haney, left this world unexpectedly in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He leaves behind his beautiful children, his wife of three years, his companion, his brother and sisters, mother and father, innumerable aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, friends, and a select few brothers from other mothers.
Services to honor his memory will take place Monday, August 20, 2018, at Lloyd James Funeral Home in Tyler, Texas. His loved ones will receive friends at 3:00 pm for a Visitation, with a Vigil following at 5:00 pm, during which family and friends will be encouraged to share memories, poems, prayers, and his terrible jokes.
