Services for Ronald Andrew Johnson, 71, of Van are scheduled for 3:00 pm on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in the chapel of Lloyd James Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Dale Perry. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at 2:00 pm.

Ronald Andrew Johnson passed away on July 5, 2018 in Tyler. Ron was born on January 9, 1947 in Grand Saline to Claude Andrew Johnson and Dola Goode Johnson. He was a member of Friendly Baptist Church, a loving father and papa. He was a graduate of Van High School and a lifetime resident of Van. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas at Tyler. He was a sixth degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and taught for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working in the garden, and playing with his grandkids. He served the last fifteen years as a petroleum landman and member of AAPL.

He is survived by daughter, Wendy Chadwick and husband Brent of Mineola; son, Stephen Johnson and wife Alisa of Chandler; son, Christopher Shubert of Troup; daughter, Ashley Williams and husband Andrew of Lindale; and son, Patrick Johnson and wife Alison of Tyler. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Hannon Johnson, his father, Claude Andrew Johnson; mother, Dola Goode Johnson; sister, Diane Johnson and wife, Donna.

Pallbearers will be Kaenan Nix, Lane McClelland, Laramie Chadwick, Scott Elbert and Daniel Elbert.
