He was born in Waukegan, IL on April 30, 1977 to James and Carol (Mrowka) Knighton, both of whom survive him. After graduating high school, JJ went to work at Electric Boat following in his father's footsteps and becoming a Senior Contract Analyst until the time of his passing.
JJ was a loving and devoted father and a hard worker. He was an avid NY Yankees and Giants fan. JJ gave his life to God and was a congregant of Revelation Church in Bozrah, CT.
Besides his parents, JJ is also survived by his children; Ashton and Kennedy Knighton, his sister; Jamie Knighton and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday the 3rd of August at Revelation Church, 166 Bishop Rd Bozrah, CT 06334. The doors will open at 4p.m., the service will start at 5p.m. and there will be a reception that follows till 8p.m.
