Pablo Saenz III passed away of natural causes on the 12th of January, 2019 at the age of 72. He was born in Laredo, TX and spent most of his life in San Antonio, TX. At the age of 21, he served our country with distinction as a U.S. Army radio operator/technician with 2 tours of duty during the Vietnam War & participated in numerous patrols and recon missions. He earned several medals to include the Army Commendation Medal for his honorable and meritorious service. Afterwards, he worked with various businesses to include computer programming with I/O in Houston and Datapoint (San Antonio), automobile and semi-truck maintenance and operations, and supply manager for an aircraft interiors firm. He was an avid vintage car enthusiast and an active member of the local chapter of the Corvette Owners Association of South Texas for many years. He also volunteered at The Texas Air Museum, honoring veterans for many years.
Pablo was preceded in death by his brother Javier (Jave). He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Carol Ann (nee Shultz), his daughter Christine (Chrisie) Marie Saenz Smith (Wesley) and his very close knit siblings Rosa Ella Saenz; Sara Saenz Al-Jundi (Assef); Sergio Saenz (Checo); Rosalie Saenz-Martinez (Roland) along with his two grandchildren, Andrew Robert Smith and Wesley Paul Smith, and three great grandchildren, Lexus Adrianna Smith, Emery Elliot Golden-Smith and Auralia Marie Smith.
A memorial service will be held at the Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City, TX at 11 a.m. on the 17th on January. The service is open to all family members and close friends.
