Bob was someone that always loved to laugh.  He laughed when poking fun at you.  He laughed when someone poked fun at him.  His spirit and soul always had a smile.

I remember growing up in Upland and Dean and I would be either figuring out how to get our skateboards down San Antonio Avenue faster without losing more skin from falling down or playing catch out front using several neighbors properties as our arms got stronger (or at least we thought they were until we hit a house or worse...another car).  But Bob was always there talking with us and helping us figure things out or become better ball players.

Other times, Dean and I would be doing things young boys did like tossing large pits at cars as they passed by or flipping baseball cards and Bob was always there to straighten us out or help teach us the proper way to flip cards :-)

I would see Bob at the races in Ontario or Riverside (when there still was a track and not a mall or housing) or in Fontana and we would chat about the drivers of old comparing them to the drivers of today.  Just a great conversationalist about any topic and made it fun to listen and learn.

Many fond memories and I am Blessed to have had Bob in my life growing up as a young boy and as a man having learned from his wisdom.  A life many of us can and should follow to make us better humans and to enjoy more...with just a smile or a laugh.

Many prayers and thoughts are out to all of the family during this time but you all have it the best, in that you are afforded remembering so many more close stories of the good times and all the joy in your hearts he gave to you.  It will certainly ease any pain being felt now, knowing that so many people outside of your family were touched by his love and joy in life he had for and of others.  

You will be missed Bob (Mr. Stinnett), but never forgotten.

Uncle Bob had such a sly, marvelous, witty sense of humor! He was so much like my Grandpa Aud, his dad, that as the years passed, it was like we still had my grandpa with us. And he was practical, as practical as the day is long. Bob could break anything (including machinery) down into its component parts and make sense of it, fix it where needed, and even better, explain it to others. 

My dad had so much fun on their Missouri road trips to visit their childhood home and relatives - it still amuses me to think of them heading down Route 66 in Bob's snazzy yellow Corvette, with Bob eating a Snickers bar and them debating life (Bob: Jerry, you just need to cut down on your sodium intake / Jerry: Bob, when's the last time you checked how much sodium is in those Snickers bars you're so fond of?) I've heard that when they drove through Stinnett, Texas, they acted like they owned the place, lol!

Bob was a rock for all of our family, and personally looked out for everyone in my family both before and after my dad's passing. We will miss him dearly.

Remembering all the times my father-in-law, Len Schmoldt or as Bob called him”Lenny”, came to visit us and how he enjoyed going to Cocos for morning coffee with, as Len called him “Robert”..
.John will always remember all the racing and fishing, especially the last trip they shared after Lens passing...such a sweet man
