Thelma Morrell, 80, of Dyer, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at her home. She was born July 2, 1940 in Dyer to Lewis and Dora McAdoo. She had retired as owner/operator of Catfish Grove Restaurant in Dyer, and was a lifetime member of Dyer Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and three brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Morrell of the home; a daughter, Cherylin Messer and husband Parkis of Hempstead, TX; three sons, Bernie Morrell and wife Cheryl of Mulberry, Mike Morrell and wife Brenda of Alma, and Dale Morrell and wife Sandy of Alma; a sister, Edna Owens of Greenville, TX; a brother, George McAdoo of Canton, TX; twelve grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2021 at Dyer Assembly of God Church with interment to follow at Dyer Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Nick Ashford, Tanner Morrell, Alfredo Deleon, Charlie Morrell, Chad Brischer, and Butch Thomas.
Viewing will be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
