Lorraine was my sister. She was raised on an irrigation farm in Southern Alberta. She went to Henderson's Business College in Calgary and became a legal secretary. She worked in the Elveden House in Calgary, 13 stories high, and that was the highest structure in Calgary at that time.
She drove a little red Hillman car with a standard transmission in Nanaimo, back in the late 60s. God spared her. She missed a fatal accident with a train by about two seconds, or less.
Dad always called her his little snow rooster.
She was kind. She was generous. She lived for her children and grandchildren.
Her road was not an easy one. I can not believe she is gone. I will look for her along the ocean, by the lake, in the garden, by the apple trees. She has simply moved into another room.

Lorraine passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 26, 2019.
She worked as a paralegal for many years, loved listening to Elvis, and enjoyed spending time with the loves of her life, her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her children Rhonda (Stephen) Page, Audra (Grant) Chapman, Marla Kehler, and her grandchildren Liam, Elghan, Broden and Sayer.
She was predeceased by her parents Earl and Virginia Hofmann, brother George Hofmann and husband Duane Beedle.
She will greatly missed by her children and grandchildren, her brother and sisters Roxsyna, Eileen, Linda, Harvey and Virginia, and numerous neices and nephews, and many friends.
She was loved.
