Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Moon Hong Wong, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 at the age of 86. Moon was born on February 19, 1934 in Sing Wah Village, Caogulang in Toishan, Guangdong Province, China to his father See Gee Wong and his mother, Lai Kin Mah. He was the eldest of two children.
He grew up in the village where he went to elementary school and later attended high school in Guangzhou. He survived the famine and occupation of China during World War II.
Moon emigrated to Canada to join his father in 1951 to study and work. He studied to be an electrician and worked hard to become highly skilled in his profession.
Moon returned to Hong Kong in 1960, where he met his future wife, Pauline and were married that same year. Moon and Pauline soon returned to Canada, where they had their five children: Henry, David, Alice, Steven, and Dennis.
He loved to travel and explore with his family which included long road trips across North America while created lasting memories with his wife and children. After retirement in 1994 he spent more time taking care of his grandchildren, traveling and attending multiple conventions around the world with Pauline.

He was also a long-standing member of the Wongs’ Benevolent Association where he served as president and was on the executive committee of the board of directors for many years.
