Ng Yee So Low

Ng Yee So Low, age 99, died in Vancouver, BC on April 7, 2020. She was born on July 11, 1920 in the Village of Chao-Chung, Toishan, Kwangtung, China and was the oldest of four children. Her tenacious spirit enabled her to self educate herself which opened opportunities for her and her daughter in Hong Kong where she worked in midwifery. While she there, Yee So was introduced to another widow, Him Low, and his son via correspondence and they eventually married in Canada and had 2 children of their own.

In Canada, she found work in the sewing industry as a Presser, enjoyed hosting dinners and events with family and friends, travelling back and forth between Vancouver and Toronto, going for long walks, and meeting up with friends for coffee/lunch and shopping.

Left to honour her love and memory are her 4 children: Yuen Fat, Lai Chi, Fay (Stanley), and Larry; 5 grandchildren: William (Candice), Weldon, Shelly (Kelly), Kirby, and Sheldon (Kelly); 5 great-grandchildren: Kai, Parisana, Keely, Katalyna, and Allegra; and many nephews and nieces.

Yee So will be remembered for her bundle of energy, joy of life, her smiles, love of children and chocolates.
