Estelle Ingram Stallings, of Ojai, passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina to Julius Sidney Ingram and Sally (Newell) Ingram. Estelle has been a resident of Ojai for 64 years.
In 1954, Estelle moved to Ojai, where she found employment with Richfield Oil Company in upper Ojai, as a secretary and stayed with this company for about 11 years. During this time, she was introduced to a gentleman who work there named, Charles M. Stallings, who became her husband. They both went to work for a grocery store called “Ven–Oak Market” in Oak View, where Estelle was the Manager and Charles was the Meat Cutter, retiring in 1993.
Estelle enjoyed sewing, reading, crossword puzzles and gardening. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ, on Bryn Mawr Street, in Ventura.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Charles Stallings; daughter, Patricia Patoine, of Sutherlin, OR; son, Robert Laughlin, of Lake Elsinore, CA: granddaughter, Wendy Henderson, of Chatsworth, CA; brother-in-law, William Stallings, of Ojai, CA; and sister-in-law, Orvella Stallings, of Victorville, CA.
