I am so sorry to see that our dear friend, and my dad’s best friend forever, has passed away. I am also so sorry Shelly and I missed the memorial service. We just got back from Hawaii and were catching up on newspapers when we noticed the obituary after the service had already taken place. If Todd, Rick or Donn could give me a call at (805) 657-1711 it would be greatly appreciated. Our thoughts and prayers are with them...Steve Brown

Coach Linkenhelt was a lifesaver for me! I attended Nordhoff High School, graduating in 1964. Coach Linkenhelt was my geometry teacher my senior year. I had put off taking it until the last minute. Someone told me that he had a way of making you understand it! They were right! I am a teacher now (38 years in 2nd grade), and he and his teaching style have come to mind many times. The amazing thing is that on January 8, my husband and I were at dinner with some of my teaching colleagues, and I told them all about Coach Linkenhelt and how he got me through geometry! My condolences to his family. He was a nice man and a great teacher!
