OBITUARY

Maria Domenica Carmine Angelozzi

August 4, 1926August 18, 2020

With deep sadness, the family of Maria Angelozzi announce her passing on August 18, 2020, at the age of 94 in Vernon, BC. Predeceased by her husband Guglielmo Angelozzi, and her brother Carmen Ballerini. Survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Anna Brown and her partner Rick Whiteman, Tina Shannon and husband Dr. William Shannon, grandsons Michael and Robert Shannon as well as extended family in Italy, Australia, Calgary, and Cranbrook, as well as many friends.

Maria was born in Italy in 1926, and immigrated to Canada in 1954. She met her husband, Guglielmo Angelozzi in Ortona, Italy during World War II . Maria moved to Vernon from Cranbrook, BC in 1994 to be close to her family.

We were blessed to have her in our lives for so long, she kept her family close, loved and cherished. There are no words to say how much she will be missed.

Auntie Maria was a strong, determined woman. I feel very privileged to have met her over 40 years ago - her energy was amazing! Gosh, where does the time go? Our deepest condolences to you Anna, Tina and family. You are lucky to have had so many wonderful memories spanning over Maria's long life. We think of you all often and hopefully we can connect sometime soon in the future.
