Ruth M Scott

There will be a Memorial service for Ruth on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 2 pm at Pilgrim United Church, 9008 - 135 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta.

Beloved daughter of the late Ida (nee Lyons) and Stewart Welsh. Predeceased by her loving husband Art, darling daughter Pat, and dear siblings Margery, Ed and George.

She is sadly and lovingly missed by her daughters Sue and Marilyn (John), son-in-law Darrell, brother Gordon (Mikki), her grandchildren Christine, Sean, Nathan (Melissa), Max (Elizabeth), Alex, Scott (Barbara), and Graham, great grandchildren Miles, Jameson and Bennett, nieces, nephews,

great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends.

A wonderful lady with an amazing heart, Ruth loved music and laughter, and spending time with family and friends. The coffee pot was always on, and she warmly welcomed everyone into her home and her heart. As a CGIT leader for many years and through her active work in the church, she touched many lives. Her home was full of love and caring for her husband and three daughters, and she was the beloved matriarch of her extended family.

From her kind ways, we learned lifelong lessons in unconditional love, acceptance, caring, and good humor. May we always remember her beautiful soul and carry on the lessons she taught us.

As per Ruth's wishes, she will be cremated and buried next to her husband at Beechmount Cemetery in Edmonton.
