Dear cousins, I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could be there to remember with you this lovable, gracious, witty lady, a force of nature. She was always a safe place for me during my childhood, and her food was exquisite. I especially remember her flour tortillas with butter☺. Tía Gela was a blessing in my life.
Tía Gela was blessed with a wonderful family of her own, with sons who grew up to be outstanding human beings. Sending my love.

My sincerest and deepest condolences and sadness regarding the departure of your mom, guys. I only hope and pray she is truly, honestly remembered for the wonderful soul she actually was. I've missed her stories, company and jokes for the longest time. What a celebration they must be having in God's Paradise now, as all four compadres reunite once again. If you feel so inclined at any point in the future, please know I hold our life-long friendship very dear and am always here for yawl, and yawl can get in touch with me through Adela at the church rectory always. Otherwise, yawl remain in my prayers and thoughts. God bless each of you. (Saludos a toda la familia de Mexico y a Anna; los extrano mucho.) ~~Chayo
