Mary Ann Jarisch

Mary Ann Jarisch, 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. She was born in Luxello, Texas on November 7, 1930. She was instrumental in beginning the YMCA swim program from the ground level and literally taught thousands of people to swim as the YMCA Aquatic Director. She also volunteered as the aquatic director for the Red Cross for 32 years. She was a member of the Victoria Women's Bowling Association since 1953. She loved attending any event her children, grandchildren or great grandchildren participated in.

She is survived by her sons, Troy Jarisch (Kim) and Daren Jarisch (Phyllis); daughter-in-law, Martha Jarisch; brother, Richard Lovel; and sister, Peggy Heikkila; grandchildren, Todd Jarisch (Leslee), Kelly Pedone (Anthony), Brandon Jarisch (Cara), Kristen Jarisch , Colton Jarisch (Kelly), Bryan Jarisch (Katy), Jon Jarisch (Kaitlan) and Sterling Jarisch; great grandchildren, Tyler, Kyus, Silas, Lia, Luke, Kambry, Sigr and John Harvey.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Harvey; son, Mark Jarisch; sisters, Mavin, Dorothy and Sis.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Colonial Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Albert Yankey presiding. Entombment will held at Resurrection Mausoleum in Resurrection Cemetery.
