Mason Gene Rother

Mason Gene Rother, beloved child, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the age of 3. He was born January 27, 2015 in Victoria to Cory and Alyssa Dorsett Rother, and was baptized at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory on September 13, 2015. Mason was ALL BOY. He loved being outside playing with trucks and swinging. He loved being his Dad’s right hand man. He was his Mommy’s “Big Boy” and loved his dinosaurs. He loved spending time with his MoMo and fishing with his PoPo. At Granny’s he always requested one scoop of vanilla ice cream and one of chocolate. Everybody was Mason’s best friend.

He leaves behind his adoring parents, Cory and Alyssa; grandparents, Mark and Kim Rother; great-grandparents, Anita Rother, Lucille Drozd, Jan Dorsett Wendt, Judge Whayland and Delores Kilgore; aunts and uncles,Jared Dorsett, Clayton (Katie) Dorsett, Matt Dorsett, Garrett (Sarah) Rother; special great-uncle, Jamie Dorsett and his two children, Jaylen and Jett Dorsett; and cousins, Scarlett Rother and Blaise Dorsett. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jeff and Blandine Dorsett; and great-grandparents, Boyce Rother, Gene Drozd and Vernon Dorsett.

Visitation will be from 9:00 – 9:30 am Saturday, March 10, 2018 at The Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am with Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jared Dorsett, Clayton Dorsett, Matt Dorsett, Garrett Rother and Kevin Rother.
