OBITUARY
Yvonne Coppels
September 1, 1923 – March 25, 2012
Yvonne Coppels, 88, died at 6:24 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012, in a local hospital. Yvonne was a native of Welsh and lived in Vinton since 1946. She attended Welsh Memorial United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women, and the Vinton Literary Club (over 30 years). She was a room mother, sang in the Choir, and was a Lady of the Lions Club. She enjoyed Gardening sewing and cooking. Survivors include sons, Ronald Charles Coppels of Vinton,and Gary Wayne Coppels and his wife, Debora, of Sulphur; daughter, Rebecca Johnson and her husband, Ricky, of Vinton; brothers, Billy Davis and Claude Davis; sisters, Patty Lane and Jo Anne Fontenot; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles Collier Coppels; and daughter Charlene Istre. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, in Welsh Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev Kathy Fitzhugh will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City, Texas under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, and from 9 a.m. until service in the Church.

My thoughts and prayers are with ya'll today. Wish I could be there but, just know that she is in a better place.God took her to join Uncle Charles and Charlene. What a reunion!! And one day ya'll will all see each other again! Love ya'll!!
