Antonietta Linsley, 97, went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2019. She was born in Irsina, Italy to the late Giuseppe and Maria Francobandiera. She met her husband in Italy and came to the US when she was 26 years old. Being in a military family, she either lived in or passed through most of states in the continental United States. Antonietta was a beautiful person who loved the Lord and attended services at the Little Creek Chapel. She was a great seamstress who enjoyed designing clothing, as well as a great cook, passing down her Italian recipes to her children. Antonietta was predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert Winfield Linsley.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Scila Hudson and Gary Linsley both of Virginia Beach; 4 grandchildren, Robynn Schamel and her husband John, Mark Hudson, Brian Hudson and his wife Gio, and Olivia Gossin and her husband Zach; 27 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, 521 McCosh Dr., Chesapeake, VA. Burial will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
