

Edna Mae Ford aka Babe, Mom, Maw Maw, GG Mom and Triple G, was born December 13, 1929 in Addison, Pennsylvania and passed away from natural causes at the age of 92 years young on June 14, 2022 peacefully and comfortably in her home of 65 years in Aragona Village.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years Benjamin E. Ford, her son Albert Wayne Ford, her daughter Bonnie Sue Ford Gerth and her granddaughter Cynthia Buck Prince.
Survivors include her daughter Brenda Higginbotham of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her son David Ford and wife Pat of Williamsburg, Virginia; her daughter Cheryl Carpenter of Hertford, North Carolina and former son-in-law Thomas Gerth, (husband of Bonnie Gerth). Mrs. Ford had seven grandchildren, Carla Clarke and husband Billy, Jason Ford and wife Gloria, Katrina Wagner and husband Pete, Shanda Martens, Monica Fox and husband Dave, Thomas Gerth and wife Vicky, and Brett Beagle; sixteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family and countless friends.
Mrs. Ford retired in 1989 after twenty-six years of service with the Federal Government. She had three years at the Department of Defense in Washington D.C. and twenty-three years with the Department of Interior at Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. After retirement she traveled and volunteered most of her time with the American Red Cross.
Her wishes were to be scattered at sea by the U.S. Navy to be reunited with her husband Benjamin. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
