Rogelio Reynosa Sarino passed away peacefully on December 8, 2023. He was 80 years old. He was born in Bacoor, Cavite Philippines. He was the oldest child of Augustina and Avelino Sarino. Rogelio served in the US Navy for 20 years and retired in Virginia Beach.
Rogelio enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, casinos, cooking, walks, watching boxing and magic shows, taking naps and eating out. Our dad was a wonderful and loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who was always there when we needed him. He will always be remembered for his kindness, carefree attitude, humor, loyalty and generosity. Our dad’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with.
Rogelio was surrounded by his beloved family. The eldest of six children, Rogelio was predeceased by his parents, Augustina and Avelino and his brother Felimon. He is survived by his siblings Teodorita Villaluna, Eleanor Medina, Reyly Sarino and Avelino Sarino Jr.; his children Roger, Robert, Julie and Marissa; and grandchildren, Emma, Hannah, Ethan, Londyn, Lacey-Grace, Herissa, Xaven and Mickela.
A visitation for Rogelio will be held, January 3, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Smith & Williams Funeral Home/Kempsville, 4889 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462. A mass of the resurrection will occur Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 11:00 am at Church of The Ascension Catholic Church, 4853 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462.
