June 14, 1921 – February 1, 2021
Helen E. Vevers, 99, passed peacefully in her sleep on February 1st, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Edwin M Vevers, Sr., her son Edwin M. Vevers Jr. and her son Frank H Vevers. She is survived by daughter Pati Jackson (John), Granddaughter Lindsey E. Vaira (Michael) and great-grand kids, Keira E. (15) Austin M. (12) and Savannah J. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She always enjoyed life and traveling with the family. As a young woman she and her sisters Millie and Alma always chipped in for gas and took a ride, sometimes to the beach, sometimes just to visit people. Every Sunday, the whole family would pack up and take a drive to anywhere and have a picnic! Many a good time was had on those Sundays! She always had a smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
A grave side service will take place on Monday, February 8, 2021 @ 11:00 am at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland Md. We welcome friends and family to come celebrate her life with the family at the graveside service.

I just found out about this through a woman sending me a message on Ancestry.com. I am her nephew from her sister-in-law Jane Vivian Vevers. I remember my Aunt Helen and she was a very nice person. I also have vague memories of my cousins Edwin, Jr. and Frank and Patti but I basically lost contact with all of them. The last time I saw Helen was right after my mother died in1987. The last time I saw my cousins was many, many years ago when some of us drove down to Maryland for a visit. I was young and my uncle owned a restaurant at that time. I squeezed a bottle of ketchup all over the table and he was quite annoyed at me!

Helen,
You are irreplaceable and treasured in our hearts forever. To say we will miss you does no justice for what we feel, no amount of tears can express the pain we feel in losing you but then again thank you for the honor of sharing a lifetime with you. Rest in peace.

Cousins are usually the first friends we have a children. No one will ever understand our crazy family like your cousin do even if you haven't talked to much lately. Cousins are those childhood playmates who grow up to be forever friends.
You have our sincere condolences, and we will keep you close in our thoughts and prayers always.

Mother we will miss you. It was an honor to be considered part of the Vevers' extended family. You made the world a better place and how you cared for all your children was the standard for other Moms to follow. As you join your family members in heaven you can now rest in knowing you did the very best. Rest in Peace Mother.

Pati and family. I came into your family almost 55 years ago. I was so lucky to have a mother-in- law like your mom. She made me feel like I was also her daughter. No matter where Helen went she always made friends. Her greatest thing in life was her family. Oh how she loved her children Eddie, Frank and you. She was so proud of her granddaughter Lindsey, and her great-grand children, Keira, Austin and Savannah. When ever you saw Helen she always had a smile. She will be miss by so many. She is now in Heaven with her family.....Love
