Felix Frank Nadolski Honey Boy (Gus), age 87 of Warren, died Monday, June 25, 2007 at St. John Macomb Hospital Center in Warren. Mr. Nadolski was born March 08, 1920 in Warren, Michigan formerly Baseline. Mr. Nadolski was raised in Detroit and graduated from St. Louis the King Grade School, where he was a great student who had perfect attendance and was a member of the Safety Patrol. After his schooling he worked for a Conservation Corps camp in forestry conservation, and then went to work in a steel mill. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1941-45 during World War II, captaining his own boat and also saving many people from drowning. After the war, he looked to return to work to provide for his family. He operated a shoe repair store on Eight Mile Road, then became interested in beef boning of meat for grocers. He was hired by Joe Styke beef boning and eventually went to work for Rem Packing, where he would work for the next 23 years before retiring. He enjoyed spending time at his home in northern Michigan, which he dubbed "Nado's Niche," where he walked in the woods or relaxed in his home. His family said he always stayed in excellent physical shape. At one point in his life a newspaper did an article on his physique, saying he had the "perfect body." He boxed, enjoyed bowling, loved to hunt and fish, took up skiing later in life, played harmonica, danced and sang. He cherished his beloved Detroit Tigers and also loved to watch all sporting events. His family remembers a dedicated family man who kept God at the center of his life. Mr. Nadolski is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lottie (nee Skowron) Nadolski; children, Carol (Kenneth) Kustarz, Judi Duszka, Nancy (Anthony) Elibri and Sherry (Larry) Conklin; grandchildren, Scott (Michelle) Kustarz, Phillip (Deborah) Perkowski, Jeffrey (Janna) Perkowski, Alana (Billy) Douveas and Jason (Jennifer) Conklin; and great-grandchildren, Kadia, Thaddeus, Jeffrey, Joshua and Matthew.
