Graduating from Western Michigan University, Oscar worked for the Roseville School system for 32 years. Not only was he a science teacher, but Oscar was also an Athletic Director and coach for the Jr. High and High School teams, coaching girls' basketball, track, and cross country.
Oscar was married to the love of his life, Clara for 63 loving years. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed woodworking in his spare time, often making ornaments for his friends. Oscar will forever be loved and missed by his family, friends, and former students.
Oscar was the beloved husband of Clara. Loving father of Ann (Gary) Scheff. Adored grandfather of Katherine (fiancé Kyle) and Kristin. Dear brother of the late Marian (the late Benjamin) Drachler and Jean (the late Virgil) Christianson.
A Memorial for Oscar will be held on Tuesday, November 14th with a Gathering time from 10:00am until the time of his Funeral Service at 11:00am at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 31654 Mound Rd, Warren, MI 48092. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ, the Roseville Scholarship Fund, or to a charity of your choice.
