Carlyle G. Arthur
79 years old of Warren died Tuesday September 21, 2010 at home. He was the husband of Hope B. (Buffington) Arthur. Born in Lynchburg VA. He was the son of the late John W. and Sussie M. ( Howell) Arthur.
Carlyle served in the Navy for 20 years retiring with the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer. After retiring from the Navy he worked for the RI. Development Corporation for 21 years. He was a Warren resident for over 50 years. he served as past president and treasurer of NILUPE
Besides his wife of 56 years he is survived by three daughters, Melinda Arthur Seib and her husband John of Texas, Elizabeth A. Stringer of Warren and Jane B. Arthur of Barrington.
He had two sisters Betty Overstreet and Frances Littles and her husband Tony of Virginia. He had four granddaughters Katherine Sanford and her husband James, Kelly Stringer, Amanda and Emily Arthur, and one great grandson Quentin James Sanford. He is survived by 5 nieces and 2 nephews,
He was also the brother of the late Iris Heptinstall and brother in law of Calvin Heptinstall.
A Graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday September 28, 2010 at 10 am in Warren South Burial Ground. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted
