Henry Michael Soehnlein on Washingtonville, NY passed away on July 30, 2019 at the age of 72. Henry was born to Henry and Rita Soehnlein on January 30, 1947 in Glendale, NY. He was a Navy Veteran and was also in the Army Reserves. Henry was a retired NYPD Officer in Midtown North. After he retired from the NYPD, Henry went on to become a registered nurse and nursing instructor for institutions that included Rutgers, Seton Hall, and Ramapo College. He was a member of the Orange County Shields and the Fraternal Order of Police.
Henry is survived by his beloved son Mark Soehnlein and daughter-in-law Joann Soehnlein, and by his two granddaughters Kaitlyn and Samantha Soehnlein. Henry was predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Mary Soehnlein in September 2009.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North St., Washingtonville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Monday, August 5, 2019 at St. Mary’s Church, Washingtonville, NY with burial to follow at Orange County Veteran’s Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
