Evamarie Evans

EvaMarie G. Evans, 92, of Waynesboro, passed away on Monday, September 4th, 2023 at Summit Square. She was born October 24th, 1930 in New York, a daughter of the late Max G. and Paula Horn Seher. EvaMarie worked in accounting at Humphreys Press for 21 years and then Crompton Company in the same capacity for an additional 11 years. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Theodore “Jake” Evans with whom she shared a blessed union of 62 years; and her brother, Horst Seher. She would like to extend a big thank you to her special friends, Pat Uzcategui, Pam McLaughlin, Marla Cole, Annie Nelson and Jeanette Gordon and her faithful K-9 companion, Bucky. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on, Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Augusta Memorial Park with Dr. Elizabeth Foss officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
