Born February 23, 1931 in Charlottesville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hattie (Weeks) Morris.
Wynona was a member of Harriston Christian Center. Her deep love for children called her to serve as a foster mother for many years. Wynona enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved to cook for them. She will be remembered as a loving mother, granny, and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Parr; son, Blaine D. Parr; great granddaughter, Hayley Comer; and sister, Uldine Fortune.
Survivors include her daughter, Elta P. Comer and husband, Maurice; grandchildren, John Parr, Jamie Comer, Ginger Smith and Erica Comer; great grandchildren, Tucker Comer and Bryce Comer; and great-great grandchildren, Kaidence, Jace, and Kayleb Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 W. Main St., Waynesboro.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Durwood Cowan and Pastor Bill Fortune officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will be Jamie Comer, Darryl Comer, Kenny Beverley, Danny Morrell, Brian Kirschner and Bill Smith.
