Raul Cardenas Rodriguez

Raul Cardenas Rodriguez, age 89 years old, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, the 5th of June 2019, in Richmond, Texas, in the comfort of his home and surrounded by his loving family.

Raul was born to the late Jose Tomas and Petra Rodriguez on the 3rd of July 1929, in Artesia Wells, Texas. He married the love of his life, Oralia “Doris” Aguirre Rodriguez on the 20th of January 1951. The couple moved from Texas to Mexico and then later to California, and then settled in Houston, Texas, where they raised their seven children. Family was Raul’s pride and joy.

Raul is survived by his children Raul Rogelio, Armando, Martha Elisa, Olga Lydia, Gerardo, Marisela, and Nora Alicia whom he loved and was so proud of; including his cherished 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, his nephew Jose, great nephew Marcello, and his beloved chihuahuas, Pecky and Polo. He also leaves behind several caring relatives and friends, and will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Family and friends will gather at the Forest Park East Funeral Home, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598, on the 10th of June 2019, for a Memorial Service from 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held the following day on the 11th of June 2019, at 3:00 p.m. with the interment following the service in the Forest Park East cemetery.
