Sarah L. (Dooley) Brantley Guerrero passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 11, 2019 at her home in Texas City, TX. She was born on February 15, 1936 in Grenada, MS. She lived in East Texas and Galveston County for most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church of La Marque, TX.
She was a strong, kind and loving woman who spent her early years as a caregiver to many. She enjoyed working in sales for Home Interiors, Tupperware and her favorite…Avon. Sarah loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. She loved gardening, canning and crocheting. She was known for her amazing fig preserves and baking blackberry cobbler. She was a true Christian and was very generous and giving. She enjoyed going on dates with her husband, out to restaurants and shopping at Palais Royal.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James & Dovie (Hall) Dooley; children, Elizabeth Worthy and Gerald Brantley; siblings, Margaret Dooley, James Dooley, Nancy (Dooley) Moody, Bobby Dooley and Pauline (Dooley) Ausmus.
Sarah is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Crespin Guerrero; children, Joseph Brantley (Lora), Ruth Garcia (Jerry Johnson), David Brantley, Christina Ross, Mariana Guerrero and JR Guerrero (Jennifer); grandchildren, Stefanie Hayden, Brandi Wagner, Margaret Brantley, Sebastian Brantley, Dewaine Brantley, Timothy Brantley (Sandy), Douglas Brantley (Amber), Shelby Brantley, Jana Chapa Wilson (Steven), Robin Chapa Quintanilla (Sam), Sarah Brantley Morales (Johnny), John Brantley (Brittany), Anthony Ross, Christa Ross, Erin Ross, Kora Guerrero, JR Guerrero and Vitaly Guerrero; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her loyal dog companion Shorty.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Wallace, Billy Short, Jerry Johnson, Sam Quintanilla, Donny Ausmus and John Brantley.
Services will be on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 2PM at Forest Park East Funeral & Cemetery in Webster, TX. The family will receives friends at 1PM. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
