Grandpa was always there for me as I was growing up with the Rauda family. There were many memories to share but there were a few that always popped up in mind. The first memory was the time he took Jordan and I to LA to go pick out a few suites. He wanted to make sure we had the right fit and looked spiffy! We had hundreds of colors and styles to choose from, but he was able to help find the one that fit us the most. I remember always spending time with his family every year on the 4th of July. It was always the go to place and he always made sure we felt like we’re at home. He was always an amazing person and was always selfless when it came to things. Even though we’re not blood, I felt as if he was a grandpa that I never had and I was a part of the family.

Grandpa Roy, it's hard to say goodbye, I have such fond memories with you as do your grandson and great-grandchildren. I remember the feeling of love and acceptance right from the start, from our first Thanksgiving together in 2008. You and Grandma Dolores accepted me into the family with open arms. The two of us had quite the talk that first Thanksgiving, sharing in your Marines history and your many stories throughout the years. I always cherished our conversations and your hugs, the love you showed to not only myself but mine and Roi's children as well. I'm so grateful you got the chance to know them and that they were able to create memories of their own with you - especially that of you and Roiy watching baseball together. When all that's left are memories, we tend to hold them near and dear. I'm happy that you are no longer in any pain or discomfort that you are in a better place now with Grandma Dolores. Roi, Roiy, Piper, Myka, and I miss and love you dearly. Love, Misty.

Grandpa, I will always remember how you treated all of mine and my brothers friends as your own grandkids and welcomed everyone into your home and heart. So much so that all of my friends would call you grandpa as well. You allowed us to chill in your yard any time from fake wrestling impersonating WWE to watching fireworks go off on the 4th of July even my mom said no cause it would bother you and grandma. You were everyone's grandpa and always will be.

I remember when Erik and I took our first trip to California with my mom and brother. Erik and I were only dating then. You treated my family as though we had always been a part of yours. You and Delores let us stay in the back room of your house. I will always remember eating banana splits in your dining room. Before we left we all also went to Nickel Nickel. And of course you blessed my marriage with Erik which made it that much more special. I will forever cherish those memories. Erik and I will make sure Chloe knows about you and grandma. <3

Dad, you were such a wonderful dad and hard worker .I have so many cherished memories. I remember when you came home from work with a case of butter from one of your stops. a delivery man had put the butter behind your van and you accidentally back over it, we had to scrape off some of the tire marks and we were stocked up on butter. also all the fun family vacations and adventures you gave us. you really loved & took care of us along with mom and give her a big hug from us all.
